To show our appreciation to all the teachers at the daycare for their dedication towards the children, we ordered cupcakes, with a personalised mini card thrown in, for all the teachers!

Looking back at the efforts

With Toddler & Master ANG out at the moment in Suntec City, the ANG Mistress quickly geared herself with the vacuum cleaner and rid the dust off the floor again.

.

Meantime, while taking a short break from the housework, the ANG Mistress took the opportunity to tidy that huge number of photos collected over the years.

.

It's hard to tell a mother, to stop looking at her child's picture. Thanks to the invention of cameras. Without this gadget, those precious moments would have just slipped away.

Looking back, 32 months had passed and Toddler ANG is into his 33rd month old. What more can a mother ask for, except that her child continue to be happy, lively and healthy.

While on Genting Highlands....

The weather is perfect!
.
Everyone is grateful that we get to enjoy 19-22 degrees during the day of arrival and the temperature fell to around 15-18 degrees in the night.
.

Here's a little Recap of the itinerary on the day of departure:

Departed Singapore at 0400hrs via 2nd Link (Tuas)
Passed Malacca by 0600hrs
Arrived at Genting Highlands at 0945hrs (Reach on location) .

After parking our cars, most of us went to scout for our breakfast while 2 of our daddies waited at the hotel lobby for our turn to check in.

It was nearly a 1 and a half hours of waiting before our turn came. With 6118 hotel rooms in First World Hotel alone, you'll naturally understand why we had to wait that long just to process the check-in. The adults washed up while the children were given some food as lunch before they were tucked in for an afternoon 'nappie'.

.

By late afternoon, the group has freshen up and is ready to roam the area! When it was supposely planned for the children to enjoy the indoors rides and go for strolls outdoors, the daddies totally superceded it. The guys were enticed by the motorbike racing games at the indoor arcades. Naturally the children also participated in the racing without any fuss! They were more than happy and entertained by the 'motorbikes.

Oh Yes, the adults did manage 'stroll' outdoors while walking back to the hotel to scout for dinner. Thereafter, a movie non other than the Jackie Chan's latest - Rush Hour 3 awaits us!

Luckily for the mums, children were allowed in the theatre hence the children were seated on their mummies' lap watching the movie quietly.....no fuss......adorable!

What's next after the movie? Nah, the adults did not manage to try their hands at the gambling table in this trip. Instead, we brought KFC and McDonald's upstairs for a mini supper treat, coupled with instant noodles and wine. Luxury!

How about the children? Oh well, they are definitely tucked in their dreams by 11pm so the grown ups can enjoy the supper feast!. While the next day...............

The group decided on a McDonald's breakfast since Master ANG shared the night before that the hotel breakfast is not tasty and resembles that of an army food rationing. So after filling the stomachs, the group set off again to the other planned destination.

Hey, The House of Ang 洪 and gang have all returned from the road trip, touching the Singapore land at 8.30pm after some quick dinner at Perling, JB.

Road Trip Planners at Work

Planning is inevitable for almost all kinds of road trip.

The group's daring attempt at hopping from Genting Highlands to Berjaya Hill is definitely challenging, at least for some of the 1st timers who are joining in this road trip.

There will be 2 vehicles driving up north this time. The itinerary is roughly set as:

The day in Genting Highlands will be dedicated for the children to enjoy the indoors ride (perhaps go outdoors for strolls), the adults will catch a late night movie then move on to try their luck at the gambling table. How about the children? Oh well, hopefully in their dreams by 12 midnight.

The serene environment in Colmar Tropicale, will hopefully be a perfect environment for all who wanted to get out of the urban living, indulge in nature and relax totally, before returning to our fine city the next day.

Today is the 42nd birthday of Singapore.

How fast time flies, the nation is already into it's 42nd year. Looking back, without the hardwork and perseverence by our fore-fathers, the diligence by us and the nurture of our future generation, where will Singapore be today & tomorrow?

Another Road Trip in the Making

Contained with immense desire to 'escape' from the monotonous urban living in Singapore, the House of ANG 洪, and their friend gangs are planning yet another Road Trip!

.

How time flies, the gang's memory still contain the impression of their first Genting road trip! This time, it was decided not only to ascend onto the highest ground at Genting Highlands - City of Entertainment.

The gang are also hopping over from one hill to another - Berjaya Hills (formally known as Bukit Tinggi). The troupe will put up a night over at Colmar Tropicale after Genting Highlands.
